Monstrous puff pastry tarts: the perfect recipe for latecomers! My Ludovica’s last minute Halloween idea!
So … We broke up in the last post with a Mamma-Ludi-Olivia brainstorming on a sweet, easy recipe for Halloween and here I am today with our idea.
While eating her savory pumpkin pie, Ludovica told me: “Mom, why don’t we make sweet tarts too? With a red jam!”
Yes! Why not?
Well… Pointed this, something got unhooked in her little brain and she started wandering on very arduous roads made of monstrous cakes with unicorns (?!?! Since when are unicorns monstrous?!?!?) that meet ghosts and, his all-time favorite Halloween figure, Jack Skellington (Do you remember our Halloween chocolate fudge pops?)!
Okkkkeeeey… Stop, stop, stop little blondie! : D Let’s keep on your initial idea of very simple and very fast monstrous puff pastry tarts!
ONLY 2 INGREDIENTS: puff pastry and jam (I used the new pomegranate, aloe and hibiscus jam from Rigoni di Asiago) that I found perfect for the occasion!
The only ingredient to add, of course, is the desire to make everything (NOT) SCARY with monstrous eyes!
In 5 MINUTES your monstrous puff pastry tarts will be ready to bake!
We made 6 in total: we packed 4 just like multi-eyed mummies, we molded 1 with the likeness of our beloved Jack Skellington and, finally, we left free from bandages and decorations the last one that we only filled with eyes once cold!
So what are we waiting for? Let’s go to the recipe because October 31st is almost upon us!
