Cuisine Italiana
Servings 15 cake balls

Ingredients

  • 200 g leftover cake or plumcake or sponge cake
  • 3-4 tablespoons full of jam or marmalade I chose berries
  • 200 g white or dark or milk chocolate or a little of each one
  • 15 walnuts

Instructions

  • Put cake leftovers in a bowl and crumble them with your hands.
  • Mix them with 3-4 tablespoons of jam until you get a malleable mix. Add the jam gradually in order to get the perfect texture.
  • Form balls of equal size and place them in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • In the meantime, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and use it to glaze the balls.
  • Cover the imperfections of the glazing with some chocolate and immediately complete each cake ball with 1 walnut.
  • Put in the fridge for at least 1 hour before enjoying!

Notes

Add the jam gradually in order to get the better texture: I can't tell you a precise dose because all dependes on the type of cake you're using as base.
